"The following obit appeared in the Pomona, Cal. paper of last Friday: Mrs. Emma Eugenia Everham, resident of Pomona for 22 years, passed away at 10:30 o'clock last night at Laurel avenue, following an illness. Born near Meriden, Ill, Feb 15, 1857, Mrs. Everham came to California 30 years ago from Earlville, Ill. Surviving are her husband, Manley Everham; three daughters, Mrs. Millicent B. Hanchett, Downers Grove, Mrs. Flora Bonestell, Hanford; Mrs. Sibly V. Farrar, Los Angeles; a son John L Everham, Earlville, and a sister, Mrs. Grace Scoggin, Mena, Ark."
