1917 Syracuse Herald, August 21, 1917.. "PROBE DEATH OF MAN KILLED BY TROLLEY Motorman says Hyland Everingham was Lying on Car Track. Coroner Crane went to Fayetteville this morning to conduct an investigation into the Syracuse & Suburban tolley car accident in which Hyland Everingham met his death in that village last night. An inquest may be ordered. According to a statement by John Wright, motorman of the tolley, Everingham was lying on the tracks. Wright said he sounded the whistle and threw on the brakes. The car was then but a short distance away. Although Wright did all in his power he was unable to bring the trolley to a stop until after it had passed over Everingham's body. Mr. Everingham, who was 58 years old, had been a lifelong resident of Fayetteville. He leaves a sister, Mrs. Louis Washburn. and a brother, Peter Everingham. The body was removed to the undertaking rooms of C.R. Eaton. "

Manlius NY Death index
Since 2007 and as of 2017, the cemetery reading of Fayetteville Cemetery, Onondaga, NY, gives his year of death as 1907.. this is obviously a transcription error as the 3 newspapers (which I've seen) and transcribed above, and the Death index above clearly show 1917.
