Transcribed research (below) of Kevin Everingham of MI, 2011
1869 Bridgeton Pioneer Newspaper, Dec 31, 1869, Page 2.. "Married - On Dec 22nd, at the residence of the bride's father, Cape Island, by Rev. C.K. Fleming, Mr. George W. Everingham of Millville, to Miss Imogene Swain of Cape May."
in direct conflict with the newspaper info: (possibly registered at date below?) I am leaning towards the 1869 date since I have seen this newspaper printed in 1869 and doubt they would have printed a specific date if they didn't get married until a month later. I believe it's very possible that the Index date below may simply be when the marriage was officially recorded with the county but an absolute date is uncertain.
1870 New Jersey Marriage Index... George Washington Everingham married Imogene Swain, 22 January 1870 in New Jersey. (no further document data this is index info only)

Cold Spring Presbyterian Cemetery, Cape May, New Jersey... Everingham headstone "George W. Everingham 1847-1915, Imogene S. Everingham 1847-1934".
