1860 CENSUS New Oregon Village, Howard, Iowa ... listed as; "D.B. Everingham", 27, b.CAN

1864 The Weekly North Iowa Times, Nov. 30, (page 2).. "Sergeant Bass Everingham, (38th Inf.) of Howard County, left for his regiment on Monday of this week. Bass is in Capt. Harris' Co.
The regiment is at Donaldsonville, La, in command of Lt. Col. Hodnett, a most excellent and well beloved officer. He says the regiment on the 28th of October was about 500 strong and in fine health. Bass looks as though soldiering agreed with him.

1896 Twice-a-week plain dealer Newspaper, May 22, 1896... "B.D. Everingham made a strange find a week ago last Sunday, namely, a set of false teeth. They were found on the bank of the river at Vernon and are in first-class condition. The person who thus shed her or her teeth can obtain said masticators by calling on Mr. Everingham at his home just south of town." same page,..
