1870 Headstone in the Springport Cemetery, Harrisville, Alcona County, MI ... (very worn) inscription "Sarah, wife of Wm Evingham, d.2 Jan 1870 or 1879? aged ### parts of it are not readable and the stone was broken and repaired.... daughter Lavina's death certificate lists her parents as "Wm & Sarah Evingham" in Alcona County, MI... This makes me 90% sure that this headstone is William's first wife. IF this is the correct Sarah Jane, then she died at age 49 to 58 and should have a 1870 or 79 death record or register at the Alcona Co. Michigan Courthouse or Clerk's Office. (I have not visited that courthouse yet.) That death certificate should have some important information about her.
