1940 CENSUS Perry, Logan, OH (Sheet 5B family #120).. "Thomas Everingham 75, b.OH,.. Grace Everingham 61, b.OH, wife,.. Paul Grubbs 40, b.OH, stepson." further research shows Paul's birth certificate; #1542, Logan County, Ohio.. Paul E. Grubbs, b.23 March 1900 at East Liberty, Perry township, at home. He was the son of Grace Westlake 22, & Paul Grubbs 27, farmer. The original was signed "Paul E. Grubbs".

There was later a court hearing in Dec 1951 to change or correct this birth record, with affidavits from Grace Everingham, the father's name was changed to Obediah instead of Paul. (no details to explain) Further complicating matters, A Logan County, OH marriage record exists that shows J.G. Westlake married B.O. Grubbs at East liberty 5 Oct, 1898. (J. Grace?, Benjamin Obediah?) The 1900 Census of Perry shows (listed above); Obe B. & Grace with son Earnest P. Grubbs (b.March 1900). In the 1910 Census of Perry, they are listed as Ben O. & Jessie G. Grubbs, married 12 years.. In the 1920 Census of Perry, they are Benjamin O. & Grace J Grubbs.

1943 Death Registration ... Thomas C. Everingham, b.April 4, 1865 Logan, OH, retired farmer, married; "Grace", died June 29, 1943 Perry township, logan, Ohio, son of; Joab Everingham b.PA & Ellen Supler.... age 78y, 2m, 25d... Burial July 1, 1943 at East Liberty cemetery.
