Wayne was a lifelong farmer.
Obituary Wayne Loy Springsteen, age 74, of Carson City passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Sparrow Carson Hospital. He was born March 10, 1944 in Sheridan the son of Owen and Edna (Weber) Springsteen. On July 10, 1971 he married Vicky Wilkinson in Perrinton. He served in the National Guard.
Wayne was a lifelong farmer and also raised honey bees. He enjoyed gardening, doing yard work, fishing and trips to the Casino.
Wayne is survived by his wife of nearly 47 years, Vicky of Carson City, three children; Tracy (Cheryl) Springsteen, Tim (Shelly) Springsteen and Terra (Scott) Allen, five grandchildren; Terra, Trevor, Sydney, Leah, Sarah, great-granddaughter; JaceLynn Marie, a brother; Gerald (Neva) Springsteen, brothers-in-law; Gary (Gayla) Wilkinson and Stacey (Sam) Wilkinson and many nieces and nephews. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial gathering and celebration of Wayne’s life will be held at the family’s home, 9575 Sloan Rd. Carson City on Saturday, June 30th from 1-5 pm. Interment will be held at a later date in Bloomer Township Cemetery.
Vicky's obit Vicky M. Springsteen, age 72, of Carson City, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at the Greenville Hospital. Vicky was born July 3, 1949, in Carson City, the daughter of Lyle and Eleanor (Moon) Wilkinson. She graduated from Fulton High School with the class of 1967. Vicky married Wayne Springsteen on July 10, 1971 at the Perrinton United Methodist Church. Vicky enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children Tracy (Cheryl) Springsteen, Tim (Shelly) Springsteen, Terra (Scott) Allen, five grandchildren Terra, Trevor, Sydney (Erik), Leah, Sarah, great grandchildren JaceLynn Marie, Amelia Kay, Isaac Scott and one on the way, brothers Gary (Gayla) Wilkinson, Stacey (Sam) Wilkinson, brother-in-law Gerald (Neva) Springsteen and many nieces and nephews.
Vicky was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
A memorial gathering will be held Friday, September 17, 2021 at the family’s home, 9575 Sloan Rd. Carson City, MI 48811, starting at 6 with Pastor Andy Croel officiating services at 6:30 pm and everyone is welcome. Interment will be held at a later date in Bloomer Township Cemetery.
