1813 December 6, Samuel & Nancy (or Ann) Evernham of East Windsor released a lot of land to Roady Evernham (widow). Witnesses were John James & James McCabe. This Roady may have been the widow of Thomas Evernham. The James McCabe who witnessed the Will later ended up marrying Jane Evernham, was her full name Roady Jane? this info from Thomas Phillips, 2006. (see Thomas Evernham link below)
1830 CENSUS, East Windsor, Mercer, NJ .. John Evernham, Benjamin is crossed out and William written above it; William Evernham, James Evernham, Sam Evernham .. 3 lines down from Sam is Pearson Evernham.. is it this Pearson Evernham? Sam's numbers show 1m(10-15), 1m(30-40), 1f(10-15), 1f(30-40).. This appears to fit well with Samuel & Ann and son Barzilla and a daughter. The vicinity of people & names show a possible link to Benjamin Everingham.
1840 CENSUS, East Windsor, Mercer, NJ .. Samuel Evernham, 1m(5-10), 1m(20-30), 1m(30-40), 1m(50-60)"Samuel", 1f(20-30), 1f(40-50)"Ann".. it appears that Samuel & Ann had 3 boys and 1 girl.. it's interesting that next door is "John Dancer (see Thomas) and George Evernham., next to George is Jane McCabe. Jane is a female age 80 to 90, and next to Jane is Wilson Hulet". This census suggests that this family may have a connection to Thomas Everingham & Jane Hulit. All of the names living close to Samuel & Barzilla link to Thomas. One page away in this same census is; James Hulet, Benjamin Evernham & Amelia Dancer.

CAUTION this is almost certainly another Samuel in NY?
1855 STATE CENSUS Parish, Oswego, New York ... Samuel Everingham 66, b.NJ was a boarder, living with the Charles & Mary Tabor family. this may be another unknown Samuel Everingham, since the Samuel of this page is otherwise always in Mercer County, New Jersey. This Samuel was a resident of the recorded city for 13 years! |
1860 CENSUS, Washington Twp, Mercer, NJ Family #458, Page 59 ... Brazilla Irvingham, 44, b.NJ,... Ann Irvingham 64, b.NJ .. next pages of this census, #464 is Hannah Hulit 48 with apparent sons; Zester, Timothy, Samuel, David.. there are also several Robbins families in the area.

Ann Evernham 76, house keeping,... Eliza Augburn 70. all 3 born in New Jersey it's possible that Ann was his mother but it was not noted in the Census... See 1850 Census above, Samuel Everingham was living with him (possibly his father (born abt 1782)?)
1880 CENSUS Washington, Mercer, NJ ... James Ewart 31,... Mary 24,.. Joseph 5,.. Sarah 3,.. Carrie 1,.. Theodore Drew 14,... Ann Evernham 83 b.NJ, relationship: other,... Brazilla Evernham 67 b.NJ, relationship: other, married, laborer.
