1933 The St. Paris News-Dispatch, St.Paris, Ohio, June 15, 1933.. "Miss Alegra Everingham has purchased three hundred Buff Rocks of Mr. Poling of St. Paris. This makes two thousand chicks she has purchased since early spring and she has been very successful with them." Newspaper updates report her finishing 1st and 2nd in 4H Fair poultry shows for white and buff rock chickens.
1939 The St. Paris News-Dispatch, St.Paris, Ohio, April 6, 1939.. "Shower for Mrs. Virgil Calland - Mrs. Mahlon J. Everingham, Degraff was hostess Saturday afternoon at a miscellaneous shower honoring, Mrs. Virgil Calland, a recent bride and the daughter of Harry Everingham."

1945 The St. Paris News-Dispatch, St.Paris, Ohio, Nov 1, 1945.. "Rosie Myrtle Calland, 66, died at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday after an illness of three weeks. she was born in Adams township, the daughter of Samuel and Susan Kiser. Her husband preceded her in death eleven years ago. The body was removed to the Richeson funeral home and later taken to the home of Virgil Calland. She is survived by seven children, two sisters, three brothers, Guy, Raymond and William Covault."

1972 The Piqua Daily Call, Sept. 18, 1972... "Mrs. Allegra Calland, St. Paris - Allegra Mae Calland of nine mile road, St.Paris, who died early Saturday. Mrs. calland, widow of Virgil Calland is survived by on son, Garr Calland of Ilde Road, St. Paris; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Asha Clark of Rosewood and Mrs. Celia Underwood of Urbana and two brothers, Chester Everingham of DeGraff and Mahlon Everingham of St. Paris."
