1845 of interest but not yet proven to be this couple; Edward Norris married Mary Tibble on 12 October 1845 at Micheldever, Hampshire, England. The Parish register shows the marriage on 1 November, 1845. The England marriage index also shows 1 Nov 1845. His probable brother Robert married Elizabeth Ireland also in Hampshire, England! This record also lists Mary's father as Philip Tibble and Edward's father as Henry Norris! This is my only source of Edward's father's name.

This is likely the correct Edward Norris since his son James died in Lapeer County, MI in 1874 and I don't find this Edward in any CENSUS records after 1871. His daughter Sarah also had a child in Lapeer County, MI in 1878.
1876 Lapeer MI, Death Record (Page 91, #1577)... Edward Norris 59, married, b.ENG, occ: laborer, died 11 March 1876 at Mayfield, Lapeer, Michigan.
NOTE: Mary Tibbles last name from son; John Norris' death record in Arenac County, MI 1933.
