1943 The Mercury Newspaper, May 11, 1943, Page 12... EVERINGHAM, 48. husband of Bertha (Trimble) Everingham, 529 HIGH ST., died suddenly last night from a heart attack. Everingham had complained of feeling ill Sunday night, and last night decided to go to the doctor. He had just stepped into the waiting room when he collapsed and died. Born in Bridgeton, N. J., he was a son of Mrs. Mary (Barber) Everingham-Hushen, of Selinsgrove, Pa., and the late William Everingham. He had been a resident of Pottstown for the past 16 years and was employed by Doehler Die Casting co. He was a member of George A. Amole post, American Legion; Veterans of Foreign Wars; Pottstown Aerie No. 626, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and Pottstown Nest, Order of Owls. He is survived, in addition to his wife, by two daughters, Gertrude and Vivian, both at home; a son, John, who is a sergeant now serving with the Army in North Africa; and three brothers, Robert, Elkton, Md.; Howard, Wildwood, N. J., and David, Selinsgrove. A military funeral will be held Thursday from a funeral home at 404 High st. Arrangements have not been completed.
