2012 Onaway Outlook, Sept 27, 2012.. "Elaine G. Rogers, 82, a lifelong resident of Onaway, died at home, peacefully, on Thursday evening, September 20, 2012. The daughter of Hardy and Tracy (Bruder) Domke, Elaine was born in Flint September 30, 1929. She married Mervin D. Rogers in Lawton, Oklahoma on September 21, 1952. Surviving are Elaine’s husband of 60 years, Mervin Rogers of Onaway; three daughters, Joan (Mick) Brady of Colstrip, Montana, Ronda (Don) Everingham of Indian River, and Lana (Scott) Fountain of Pickford; a son, Rex (Donna) Rogers of Colstrip, Montana; grandchildren, Courtney and Breann Brady, both of Sheridan, Wyoming, Casey (Lillian) Everingham of Indian River, Onna (Eric) Leach of Onaway, Onnaly (Rod) Drouse of Lake, Eric Rogers of Washington State, Sara Massey and Austin Rogers, both of Montana, Jill (Travis) Miller and Ashley (Gary) Koben, both of Pickford, and Beth (Chris) Rieser of Paw Paw; ten great-grandchildren; and a brother, Douglas Domke of Fairbanks, Alaska."
2013 Onaway Outlook, Sept 25, 2013.. "Mervin D. Rogers, 84, lifelong resident of Onaway, died Friday, September 20, 2013 at Alpena Regional Medical Center. The son of Donald S. and Iva Ruth (Porter) Rogers, Mervin was born at home in Allis Township July 29, 1929. He married Elaine Domke September 21, 1951 in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Surviving Mervin are his three daughters, Joan (Mick) Brady of Colstrip, Montana, Ronda (Don) Everingham of Indian River and Lana (Scott) Fountain of Pickford; his son, Rex (Donna) Rogers of Colstrip, Montana; grandchildren, Cortney and Breann Brady, both of Sheridan, Wyoming, Casey (Lillian) Everingham of Indian River, Onna (Eric) Leach of Onaway, Onnaly (Rod) Drouse of Lake, Eric Rogers of Washington State, Sara Massey of California, Austin Rogers of Montana, Jill (Travis) Miller and Ashley (Gary) Koben, both of Pickford and Beth (Chris) Rieser of Paw Paw; 10 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Marie (Gene) LaLonde of Onaway. Mervin was preceded in death by his wife Elaine and his parents.
Mervin’s family received friends at the Onaway Seventh Day Adventist Church Thursday, September 26, until the time of the memorial service. Angie Joseph and husband, the Rev. Robert Joseph, Mervin’s niece and nephew, co-officiated. Mervin’s final resting place is at Hillcrest Cemetery."
