fact sources and writings about this individual: (research of Kevin Everingham of Michigan 2014);
1850 CENSUS Monroe Twp., Middlesex, NJ (October 3, 1850).. "Jacob H. Stults 54,.. Margaret Stults 51,.. Garret Stults 23,.. Rose Elen Stults 21,.. John G. Stults 19,.. Jacob Stults 17,.. Lewis Stults 15,.. Arthur Stults 13,.. Margaret G. Stults 8. (all born in NJ)" Jacob born abt 1796, died in 10 May 1854, burial at Brainerd cemetery, Cranbury, Middlesex, NJ
1868 Middlesex NJ Marriage (pg.246)...James Everham 35, and Margaret G. Stults, d/o Jacob Stults, married March 18, 1868 at Trenton, Mercer, New Jersey. both previously single. This is the only piece of evidence that I've found that suggests that maybe James A Everingham (b.1831) and James H. Everingham (b.1831) may be different people. However, Margaret's 1924 obituary seems to suggest otherwise.
1869 Mercer Co. NJ Birth Record... Emma Everham, female, b.30 July 1869 at Trenton, Mercer, NJ, d/o James & Margarett Everham.
Research of Kevin Everingham of MI, updated 2023;
1885 STATE CENSUS, Trenton, Ward 3, Mercer, NJ, family #514... "James Everingham,.. Margaret,.. Horatio,.. Harton,.. Ester,.. Emma,.. Elva." It is highly likely that Esther listed here is Horatio's wife who he had married in 1883, (not a sibling).. Elva may even be that couple's daughter.
1912 Perth Amboy Evening Newspaper, Oct 2, 1912 (Page 5 Cranbury section).. " Mrs. James Evernham spent part of the week with her daughter, Mrs. Jonathan Watt of Trenton."
same paper November 15, 1912.. (Page 5, Cranbury section) "Mrs. Margaret Evernham has been visiting Mrs. Ann Stults, of Railroad avenue, for a few days."
1918 Perth Amboy evening news, Aug 2, 1918 (Page 5).. "(Cranbury) Mrs. James Evernham, of Trenton, is visiting Mrs. Lewis Stults and later will spend some time with Mr. and Mrs. D.C. Mershon. Ernest L. Stults presided at the organ of the second church on Sunday."
1924 Greenwood Cemetery, Trenton, Mercer Co., NJ.. "Margaret Gertrude Stults Evernham, d.2 Feb 1924.
1924 Obituary Trenton Evening Times; "Mrs. Margaret Gertrude Evernham 82 died Feb 3, 1924 at Trenton, NJ.. husband James H. Evernham... this lists her children as; Mrs. Mary Johnston, Mrs. Jonathan Watt, Mr. Horatio Evernham & Hartson Evernham." This information brings James and his children together with those born to Margaret and those born before being married to her. This is important evidence that James was previously married When Margaret married James, Horatio was 12 and Hart was 4 years old.
