Richard Everingham, who was at one time a partner in The Burden Iron Company's store on Mill Street, in the southern wards, died this morning shortly before 3 o'clock at his home 144 second avenue in Lansingburgh. Mr. Everingham was born at Beaconsfleld, England, July 2, 1826, coming to this country when ten years of age. He often remarked that he passed his tenth birthday on the ocean coming here. When a young man he entered the employ of the Burden Iron Company store, which was then conducted by Peter Thalimer. His industry and application to business made him a valuable employee and he was later made manager.a Mr. Thalimer was ill for some time and the duties of conducting the business devolved on Mr. Everingham. When Mr. Thalimer died Mr. Everingham formed a partnership with Byron Salauson who was also a clerk in the place and Joseph A. Burden. They continued the business about twenty five years ago. ... Mr. Everingham was twice married, the first time to Miss Olive Edson Rickard of this city, who died twenty-seven years ago, and the second time to Miss Sarah Moores, who survives. The other survivors are three daughters, by his first wife. Mrs. Charles P. Kimball, Mrs D.R. McChesney and Mrs. William C. Geer.

History/Genealogy books list his first wife as "RICHARDS". at least one lists as "RICKARD"
