Everinghim.... He relateds a very gloomy account of the Yellow Fever pestilence in 1822, when a board fence was placed across Broadway at the corner of Chambers. The streets were strewn with lime, and the gutters whitewashed. Then again, in 1832 the cholera raged, producing a panic among the citizens. Mr. Bill had the misfortune to lose all the accumulations of his previous life in the eventful year of 1837, when so many fortunes were carried away by the financial whirlwind that swept the country. He has since secured a large business and surrounded him with very many friends. He is still in 1867 in active business and in the enjoyment of perfect health. He has but one child; Susan Randolph, b.Aug 15, 1834; m. Eli Hasbrouck, of Newburgh, N.Y., where they reside.
