        The family of (Lynn & Maynard BIGELOW, Katie & Charlie) were very close with the (Marv & Claudette, Kevin & Laurie) EVERINGHAM Family through the 1970's and early 1980's. Lynn (Bowers), and Claudette (Platte) were good school-friends at Everett high school in Lansing. Lynn introduced her uncle Marv Everingham to her friend Claudette. Lynn married her first husband in late 1965, Marv and Claudette married in 1966.
        Another coincidental connection; Claudette (Platte) Everingham's second husband Mark Sabin, went to high school with Maynerd Bigelow Jr., the son of Lynn's second husband.

        Lynn passed away in June, 2025 after dealing with demensia for several years, an ailment my father (Marv) also had prior to his death. Lynn was the reason that my parents met. She was a sweet, caring individual who always made you feel she was listening, and always made you feel loved. Those sentiments are said often about people that you care about but, Lynn really seemed to care deeply about her extended family. She was a first cousin but was more like an Aunt to me, having children my own age. She was the kind of person that you could expect a hug from and I always felt that she really cared.    Kevin

obituary Lynne Marie Patterson, age 77, of St. Johns, MI, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Hazel I. Findlay Country Manor, St. Johns, MI. Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI, at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 26, 2025, with Rev. David Leisman officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service at funeral home. Burial will take place at Eureka Cemetery, Eureka, MI. Lynne was born in Lansing, MI on October 7, 1947, the daughter of Charles Elmer and Inez Marie (Everingham) Bowers. She married Ronald Patterson, Jr. on April 25, 1987, at the Central Free Methodist Church in Lansing. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, and trips to the casino. During the holidays she liked making fudge and hard rock candies. Lynne loved time with her family and treasured time spent taking care of her grandchildren. Lynne will be remembered for her generosity, kindness and her warm smile. She is survived by her husband Ron Patterson, Jr., her children: Katie Harmon, Birgitta and Aaron Doerr, Charles Bigelow, Sr., Becky Patterson, and Russell and Leslie Patterson, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Darrell Bowers, niece Becky and nephew Jeff. Lynn was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Allen Bowers.
