Obituary - Evernham, Lynn A. 95, of Shelby, passed away Friday, June 15, 2007 at Cherry Blossom Manor in Hart. She was born Feb. 29, 1912 in Pentwater. She married Cecil Cheever in 1933. He passed away in 1966. She married Paul Evernham in 1969. He preceded her in death in 1988. Mrs. Evernham was a member of Shelby Congregational United Church of Christ. She was active in the church's women's fellowship and the lay ministry of pastoral care. She was also a member of the Ladies Literary Club, the Lakeshore Hospital Auxiliary, the Pentwater Historical Society and the Oceana Historical Society. Mrs. Evernham is survived by her granddaughters, Michelle (Jeff) Gilbert of Shelby, and Victoria (Michael) Overla of Hesperia; great-grandchildren, Amber (Randy) Vaughn, Mary Overla, Michael (Beth) Overla, and Christopher (Carolyn) Brandt; and her great-great-grandchildren, Destiny Lynn, Kaylee, Lily, Isabella and Michael III. She was also preceded in death by her son, Ronald Evernham and daughter-in-law, Zena Evernham. Graveside services were Monday, June 18, 11 a.m. at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shelby.
