"I am the daughter of Kenneth Lyle & Tena Everingham. The 5th child in a family of seven. I am 67 years old. I live in Charlotte, North Carolina. I married Richard Schill from Adrian, MI in 1952. We have four children; Terri Smith, Becky Dwyer, Robert & James Schill, & 13 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren. My husband Richard retired from Kroger as did my two brothers Lyle & Robert. "
Obituary for Richard Dale Schill
INDIAN TRAIL – Mr. Richard Dale Schill, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 5, 2012. He died at home, surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church Indian Trail. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn East Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Saturday at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 6525 Old Monroe Road, Indian Trail.
Richard was born October 8, 1933 in Adrian, Michigan to the late Arthur and Iva Schill. He married his high school sweetheart, Joan Everingham on October 5, 1952 and served four years in the U. S. Air Force. Richard began working for the Kroger Company at the age of 14 and retired as an executive Vice President after 40 years of dedicated service. He was a loving father to his four children. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by a sister, Leota Sherman, son-in-law, David Dwyer and by his great-grandson, Andrew Robinson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Joan; children, Terri Autry (Chelsea) of Indian Trail, Becky Purcell (Gene) of Gothenburg, Nebraska, Robert Schill (Angela) of Unionville and James Schill (Deanna) of Ft. Mill, SC; sister, Nancy Ann Smith of Adrian, Michigan; 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
