(1917-1920 below) It appears that they were in Mexico or Texas in 1920, but I have not been able to locate them in census data. This could also be a completely different Clarence C. Evernham. He did in fact live in Iowa, married in Colorado and lived in California. (K.E.)

1950 Rochester, NY Democrat Chronicle Newspaper, April 29, 1950.. "San Diego, California (AP) A curator in the Balboa Park Museum of Man, foiled an attempted robbery of Egyptian jewelry dating back to 18th century B.C. The official Clark Evernham, working after public closing hours, surprised two men in the main exhibit hall. Evernham was slugged with a heavy board used to bolt a door and the would-be robbers escaped. An inventory yesterday showed no articles were missing."
