1Information based on research of E. Virginia Everham.
Research of Kevin Everingham of MI, 2010-
OSWEGO BITTER CEMETERY Camillus, Onondaga, New York. ... Two people buried here with the last name "EVERHAM"... Benj. Everham b.9 Jan 1780 - d.8 July 1839, husband of Elizabeth. &.. Elizabeth EVERHAM d.5 April 1860., age 76, 2 mo. The names Benjamin and Elizabeth match and his date of birth matches the genealogy records of E. Virginia Everham. I belive this is the right headstone for Benjamin for several reasons.
1810 CENSUS Charlestown, Montgomery, NY... Benjamin Everham
1820 CENSUS Nelson, Madison, New York ... Benjamin Everham
1830 CENSUS Georgetown, Madison, New York.... Benj. Everham
Benjamin died in 1839, so Elizabeth would be listed head of household in 1840...
1840 CENSUS Van Buren, Onondaga, New York (Page 372, family #2).. "Elizabeth Everham,.. 1M 20-30,.. 1F 10-15,.. 1F 15-20,.. 1F 20-30,.. 1F 50-60." Elizabeth was about 56 years old so they clearly had one probable son, or son-in-law and 3 daughters living with her the year after Benjamin had died.
I don't find Elizabeth in 1850, was she living with other relatives? unfortunately, Benjamin died prior to the 1850 Census where members of each household were listed... so Census data will not tell us who his children were, if any. We will need family Bibles, Court documents, land records, marriage or birth records or Wills to help figure that out.
