Three of Reuben's sons (Walter, George & Daniel) had run-ins with the law and Daniel even lived at a juvenile reform home. Walter was a baseball player in school and had good grades. (according to newspapers)

1924 The Daily Register, Red Bank, NJ, Feb 13, 1924.. "Edward Everham, aged two months, son of Reuben Everham of Everett, died very suddenly Saturday morning. He was sick only ten minutes. Three sisters survive him." not sure this is the correct family!

1930 The Daily Register, NJ, April 23, 1030,.. "Two youths arrested and held for juvenile court. - A stolen car was found at Red Bank. In the car were Walter Everham aged twenty years, and George Everham, aged fifteen years. The two youths are sons of Reuben Everham of Pearl street, Red Bank. George admitted that he took the car. He said that he drove to Eatontown and broke into a toolhouse on George A. Steele's place. Walter told the same story as his brother. He said he was innocent and he denied that he had induced his brother to take the car so that he could call on a Tom's River girl."

Evernham; five daughters, Mrs. John Eckels and Mrs. George Buonano, Red Bank; Mrs. Harvey Smith, Port Monmouth; Mrs. Charles Flanigan, Fair Haven, and Mrs. Allen Lewis, Cranbery, and three sons, Walter Evernham, Headden's Corner; Daniel Evernham, Headden's Corner; Daniel Evernham, Belford, and Sgt. George Evernham with the U.S. Army in Germany."
