Blanche Everingham
marks 80th birthday

Best wishes to Blanche (Bacorn) Everingham of 2020 clark Hollow Road, LaFayette, on her 80th birthday, which she celebrated Aug. 24 with 80 neighbors and family members at a surprise party at the farm home.

Participants came from as far away as Cambridge, England, and California for the outdoor tent and garden party.

The event was the idea of daughter-in-law Pamela George Everingham and arranged in secrecy for months by Blanche's husband, Robert, and daughter, Carol, all of LaFayette.

Among family members at the party were her sister, Evelyn B. Fletcher of Sodus, who became an octogenarian two years ago; her brother, Dr. Robert Bacorn of DeWitt; and brother and sister-in-law Richard and Martha Bacorn, who flew in from Santa Cruz, Calif. They celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary Aug. 21.

A longtime friend, Sandra Stephens, flew in from Caambridge. Too many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including Cornell University classmates, attended to list here.

Blanche was born in Elmira and came to the Everingham family farm in the mid-1940s after her husband, Robert, completed service in World War II.
