1960 The Bay City Times, July 1, 1960.. "(at Onaway) Kenneth Sonier, 57, a retire construction foreman, died Tuesday evening at the home of Ray Thumm of a coronary thrombosis. Born in Lansing May 23, 1903, he married the former Bernice Sherburne April 20, 1925. They moved to Onaway in 1947. Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Mrs. Geraldine Morgan, Onaway; Mrs. Lillian Madden, Warren; a son, Billie at home; a sister, Mrs. Myrtle McConnell, Lansing; three half brothers, Robert and Earl Gurnee, both of Lansing and Chester Gurnee, Palo, and 11 grandchildren."
