1895 STATE CENSUS Berkeley, Ocean, NJ (House 131, line 548).. "Samuel Evernham,.. Rachel,.. Lydia,.. Robert,.. Howard B,.. Elizabeth,.. Frederick,.. Warren,.. Lydo, "male",.. Matilda, over age 60" These names are very clear and Warren is spelled out, it appears that Matilda, age over 60 is likely Samuel's mother. Also is "Lydo" short for something and is this "William"? This census is also strong circumstantial evidence that links this Samuel to parents Robert & Matilda from the 1870 Census. (see Robert/parent link above)

1901 The Bridgeton Pioneer Newspaper, Bridgeton, NJ, Dec 12, 1901.. "Complaint was recently made by Samuel Irvingham, of North Bridgeton, before Justice Garton, charging William Barber with abducting his son, Robert Irvingham. The boy is fifteen year old. It is alleged that Barber induced the boy to leave his home, and took him to Williamstown, where he was put to work in a glass factory. A Millville officer was notified that Barber was wanted and Monday night pinched the gentleman, and Tuesday Bath took charge of him, brought him to Bridgeton, and in default of $300 bail, he is now in jail."
