John de Everingham died before 13 November 1434, when a commission of administration for the estate of Sir John Everingham of Birkin, knight, was given to William Everingham his son and heir and to Richard Everingham, rector of Birkin, another son.
John married Elizabeth Gascoigne, daughter of Richard
Gascoigne of Hunslett, Yorkshire and his wife Beatrice Ellis.
According to the visitation pedigree, John Everingham had seven sons,
including William, his heir, Richard, Rector of Birkin and probably Henry of Withybrook, Warwickshire.
