Ida was at home in 1860 & 70 but maybe married by 1880 Census. She would have been 23 years of age then... S. Clinton Paul's obituary says they married in Dec 1880.
1880 The Western New Yorker, Warsaw, NY, 1880 "exact date not given"... "We are in receipt of a paper announcing the marriage at Russell, Kansas of Miss Ida E. Ervingham of Warsaw, N.Y., to S. Clinton Paul of Fairfield, Kan." several other sections of the same page of this paper mentions December, 1880.

1914 The Silver Creek News, Chautauqua County NY... July 9, 1914... "S. Clinton Paul The Death of Stephen Clinton Paul occurred at his home on hanover street, this village, Thursday afternoon, July 2. Mr. Paul had been in ill health for several years, and had been confined to the house since January. He was born in New York city, January 26, 1844, a son of Isaac and Mary Brownell Paul. He was a veteran of the Civil War, enlisting in the 9th N.Y S.M, afterwards known as the 83rd N.Y. volunteers, serving three years. On December 1, 1880 he was united in marriage to Ida E. Everingham of Warsaw, N.Y. who survives him, together with two daughters, Irene E. Paul and Mrs. N.D. Cross, one granddaughter, Doroty Cross, all of Silver Creek; also three brothers, Isaac Paul of Bridgeport, Conn; Wesley Paul of Warsaw N.Y.; Alonzo Paul of Boston, Mass; and one sister Mrs. Charles Van Stone of Reading, Mass. "
