1933 The Homer Post, Homer, N.Y. Friday, Oct 13, 1933 ... "Mrs. Ella E. Mathews, 80, a descendant of one of Onondaga County's pioneer families, died Wednesday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred A. Parker of 36 East Court street, Courtland. Her death laid to a fall she took in the yard of her home several weeks ago when she sustained a borken hip. Mrs. Mathews came from Pompey to Cortland 26 years ago and had made a host of friends in this city. She is survived by two daughters, Miss Ella Blanche Mathews and Mrs. Parker of Cortland, also a son, Milton John Mathews of Binghamton. There is also a brother, George Everingham of Syracuse, and a sister, Mrs. George Alexander of Lafayette."
