2021 OBITUARY Estella M Black, APRIL 21, 1928 - FEBRUARY 9, 2021 Preceded in death by parents Albert and Mable Williams Everingham; six siblings: Eunice (Herman) Boerger, Helen (Elmer) Swanson, Rachel (Lawrence) Greenfield, Mel, Paul (Norma), Don Everingham, and husband Claude Dale Black. Survived by children: Claudia (Doug) Coffey of Omaha, Bill (Coleen) Black of Omaha, Brad (Gloria) Black of Omaha, and David (Renee) Black of Papillion; sisters-in-law Lucy Everingham and Lila Everingham, 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Estelle was born April 21, 1928 at her Aunt's home in Long Pine, NE, and grew up in the Sandhills. After graduating high school, Estelle moved to Omaha to attend Omaha Business School. While working for Irwin-Imig Accountants she met her future husband through a mutual friend. Dale and Estelle were married on November 27, 1947 and celebrated 72 anniversaries before Dale's death in May 2020. While Dale worked nights at Union Pacific Railroad, Estelle brought in extra money by sewing for other people. From 1966-1978 the couple owned and operated Vanda Beauty Counselor Cosmetics. After retiring from Vanda, Estelle spent a number of years as a lay counselor. She and Dale enjoyed travelling around the United States and they spent many years "wintering" in Port Aransas, TX. When their health started to fade and they could no longer travel they moved into Assisted Living at Immanuel Trinity Village in Papillion where many friends were made. Estelle made the move to Papillion Manor in 2018 and Dale would visit his "bride" every afternoon. Dale made the move to Papillion Manor in 2020 and they had rooms right next to each other. The staff at both facilities became like family.

Estelle was proud of her family and loved them unconditionally. She prayed daily for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her desire was that each one of them would have a vital, personal relationship with Jesus Christ. She was not shy to share with anyone who would listen that faith in the saving Grace of Jesus was fundamental. She was a founding member of both Overland Hills Church and Grace Life Bible Church. Her favorite Bible verses were Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."
