Doellefeld, Esther (Doyle)
Mrs. Esther Doyle Doellefeld, age 88, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2007
at F. F. Thompspn Hospital in Canandaigua. Mrs. Doellefeld was born in Bad Axe, MI on June 9,
1919, the daughter of Earl P. and Adelaide (Everingham) Doyle. She was the devoted wife for 60
years to the late Rev. James Doellefeld, the former pastor of the First Congregational Church in
Fairport. She is survived by her children James (Peggy) Doellefeld of Albany, NY, Erlene (Jack)
Dudley of Fulton, MO, and Christine (Desmond) Murray of Canandaigua; her grandchildren,
Stephen, Julia, Daniel, Timothy, and Margaret; and her great-granddaughters, Charlotte and
Samantha.
There will be no prior calling hours. Her service will be held at a future date and time to be
announced. Contributions in her memory may be made to the First Congregational Church, 26 E.
Church St., Fairport, NY 14450 or to the Humane Society at Lollipop Farm, 99 Victor, Rd., Fairport,

Doellefeld, Rev. James F. M.
Canandaigua: Dec. 1, 2005, age 86, formerly of Fairport. He is survived by his wife of 60
years, Esther Doellefeld; 1 son, James (Peggy) Doellefeld of Albany; 2 daughters, Erlene (Jack)
Dudley of Fulton, MO, Christine (Desmond) Murray of Canandaigua; 5 grandchildren, Steven,
Julia, Daniel, Timothy, Margaret. Rev. Doellefeld was a graduate of Elmhurst College in Illinois
and Eden Seminary in Missouri. He was ordained on March 21, 1945. He served as pastor at
churches in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and New York. Rev. Doellefeld retired as Pastor Emeritus in
1984 after many years at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, Fairport.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held Mon.
1:00 at First Congregational Church, 26 E. Church St., Fairport. In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be made to the House of John, 14 Spring St., Clifton Springs, NY 14432 or the Humane Society at Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Rd., Fairport, NY 14450. Arr. by the John C. Johnson
