1944 Syracuse Herald-American, July 9, 1944 - "Teacher is Married in Lafayette.. Miss Doris Clara Everingham, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William F. Everingham of Lafayette was married to Edwin Lathrop William of Utica, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Arba Williams on July 1, at 3:30 o'clock in LaFayette Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Clark Hunt of Asbury Church, Crestwood, officiating at the double ring ceremony. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Robert Everingham, sister-in-law of the bride and Miss Marguerite Williams, sister of the bridegroom. The best man was Archie Daymont of Utica. Ushers were Robert Everingham and Charles Herne. The bride was graduated from Syracuse University where she was affiliated with Alpha Chi Omega and Phi Kappa Phi. The bridegroom was graduated from Utica Free Academy and is a labratory technician at the Indium Corporation of America in Utica."
