1932 The Syracuse Journal, NY, July 28, 1932... " To-Whan-Ta-Qua Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, were entertained recently by Mrs. DeForest Everingham of Teall Av. at her summer home at Damon's Point on Oneida Lake." Mary was involved in several ways in this organization and is noted in several newspapers as an organizer, chair, or vice regent.
1934 Syracuse Journal, May 10, 1934.. "Trucking firm head dies... In failing health for a short time, DeForest Everingham, 64 who had been identified with the Smith Trucking Company over a period of 35 years, died at his home. A native of Fayetteville, Mr. Everingham had been a resident of Syracuse for the past 50 years. He became associated with the trucking business when C.A. Smith was president, and in 1910, he and Dr. E.E. Dooling veterinarian surgeon, took over the business. Since that time the two men continued the business under the old name, Mr. Everingham serving as president. As a boy Mr. Everingham drove an old-time stage coach between Fayetteville and Syracuse. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Drake Everingham and a brother Charles Everingham, of High Bridge."

Burial was in Oakwood cemetery."
