fact sources and writings about this individual:

Research of Kevin Everingham of Michigan, 2010 & 2017

1774 same man? There is a recording of a Pelatiah Day being born 1774 in Nelson township, Cheshire, New Hampshire.

In 1800 there was a Peletiah Day living at New Salem, Hampshire, Massachusetts with 5 other people. I do NOT think this is the same man since our Pelatiah wouldn't have had any children yet.
Also of note: There was a Pelatiah Day from Massachusetts, who served in Wood's Regiment of the Militia during the American Revolution that may have been related.

In 1810, there was a Pelatiah Day living in Onondaga, New York, near a Gideon Day... also there is another Pelatiah Day living in New Hampshire, and one in Massachusetts. You might find it likely that the one living in Onondaga, New York, was this same man, but Roxcina Day's husband was born in New Hampshire. Below, we know for sure that Pelatiah Day living in Genesee County was the father of Roxcina.

1812 A Pelatiah Day served as a private during the War of 1812 in James Adams' battalion of the New York militia. this certainly may be the same man.

1820 CENSUS Batavia, Genesee County, NY.. (Page 27).. "Pelatiah Day"

1830 CENSUS Pembroke, Genesee County, NY.. "Pelatiah Day" living next door to "Dexter Farnam." who married Roxcina Day in 1829.

1840 CENSUS Pembroke, Genesee County, New York.. Peltiah Day. It appears that Roxcina's parents were still living in Genesee,NY in 1840. She had married in 1829, then moved to Michigan in 1836 according to her husband's biography.

1847 The Argus Newspaper, Albany, NY 1847 (Legal section)... "The people of the State of New York, to Elijah Day and Sally Rice, the wife on Jo##am Rice, of the town of Pembroke, in the county of Genesee, in the said state of New York, Sylvester Day, Samuel Day, and Charles P. Day of the town of Grand Blanc in the County of Genesee and state of Michigan, and Roxana Farnham, the wife of Dexter Farnham of the county of Livingston in the said state of Michigan, all of whom are twenty-on years of age and upwards, heir and next of kin of Pei##ah Day, late of the town of Pembroke, in the county of Genesee, deceased. Wereas James Day, on of the children and heirs of the said deceased, executor named in the last will and testament of the said Pelitah Day, deceased, has applied to the surrogate of the said county of Genesee, for the proof of the said will, in which he is appointed sole executor of all the real and personal estate of the said deceased; you are therefore hereby cited to appear before the said county, on the ### day of September next, and ten o'clock in the afternoon, to attend the probate of the said will."

Amidon Cemetery, "Pratt Road Cemetery" Pratt Road, Corfu, Genessee County, New York.. There are only two DAY's buried here. It seems most of their children had moved to Michigan by 1840. " Pelatian DAY (d.8 July 1847, aged 74),.. Rogeta Day (d.Aug 1, 1846), age 65, wife of Pelatian."
N. Pembroke Cemetery North Pembroke, Genesee, NY.. "Elijah Day (born abt 1805), d.2 Oct 1886, age 81,.. Minerva Day (d.31 May 1875),.. Mary E. Day (1862-1906)." according to Rootsweb files, Elijah married Minerva Barden.
same SALLY? at Virgil Rural Cemetery, Cortland County, NY, there is a Sally A. Rice (1809-1879) buried, wife of; Jonathan Rice (1811-1874). this could certainly be another Sally, there are many Sally Rice's in NY during this timeframe.
