Robert Alan Everingham b. 3:30 p.m. Dr J.W.Carlisle. Father: Charles Everingham age 32 b. Il, "oil salesman", reside N. Cross St. Robinson. Mother Emily Crowley age 31 b. IL, housewife, reside Robinson. 4 children born and now living.
(info from obituary) He was born in Robinson, Ill., May 14, 1922. While still in grade school, he moved to Clearwater Beach, Fla., where his family operated the Everingham Pavilion. Bob graduated from Clearwater High School and attended the University of Florida at Gainesville where he was a brother of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He served in the 8th Air Force during World War II and was stationed in London. He operated the Chick Inn Restaurant in Clearwater, Fla., and then worked as a convention manager at the Tampa Terrace Hotel. He was a former member of Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla and the Tampa Yacht and Country Club.
