OBITUARY
Mrs. Nobuko "Mickey" Everingham age 88, of Robinson, IL, died Saturday September 25, 2021, in her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born May 10, 1933, in Yokohama Japan, seven Children born to Kanjiro and Kika (Yoshiwara) Tsutsumi, in the years just prior to WWII. She graduated high school in Japan, which in those days, was an education with emphasis on mathematics, science, and early forms of technology.
In March of 1955, several years following the end of WWII, she met and married Charles A. "Charley" Everingham and he preceded her in death. While married to Charley, Mickey was able to visit several other countries while her husband continued his military career. Following his retirement from the U. S. Army, the couple moved home to Robinson and her husband became a purchasing agent or the Federal Bureau of Prisons at Terre Haute, IN.
With her children raised and "out on their own" Mickey found herself helping clothiers in Robinson by doing alterations and other jobs as a tailor. When the clothing retailers went out of business, Mickey established her own tailor and alteration business in her home.
Surviving Nobuko "Mickey" are a son Charles A. Jr. & Janice Everingham of Olney; three daughters Linda & John McCullough, Robinson, IL, Peggy & Alan Cooley, Robinson, IL, and Sandi Bryan (and friend) Greg Bryan of Claremont, IL; a sister Momoe Hayashi, Yokohama, Japan; her adoring grandchildren, Lynda Dean & Chris Hoke, Trimble, Il. Charley T. & Amanda Cramer. Everson, WA; her great grandchildren, Cady Hoke, Willow Hoke, and Cowan Hoke; and 4 Great Grand Children, Ariel Cramer, Bentley Hoke, Emmett Cramer and Morgan McDowell. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Mickey's four legged, furry snuggle-buddy Ajimoto is especially remembered at her passing.
Mickey was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers Fumio, Toshiyko, Kazumi and Mitsuji Tsutsumi; and a sister Sachiyae Tsutsumi.
Private funeral services for Nobuko "Mickey" Everingham will be held on Wednesday September 29, 2021, at Pulliam Funeral Home in Robinson, IL.
